- Watch a Live Auction
Before you participate in a Live Auction, watch several live auctions to get a feel for the pace of the Live Auction process. Live Auctions frequently last less than one minute per vehicle, but in that short time many bids may be placed. Remember not to bid unless you are serious about purchasing the item. If you bid and win, you are obligated to pay for the vehicle or forfeit your deposit.
Sign Up - Inspect the Vehicle
All vehicles are sold “as is, where is”. Due to this, it is important to research and inspect vehicles prior to bidding. Whenever possible, visit the auction yard and inspect the vehicle you’re interested in prior to bidding. If you are a Preferred Member you can access our free AutoCheck reports on select vehicles. For more detailed information AutoBidMaster is happy to arrange a professional inspection of any vehicle for a small fee. These professional inspections include 20-25 additional photos, and a full written report on the status of the vehicle. In order to provide the most thorough inspection possible AutoBidMaster requires three days’ notice for inspection requests.
Sign Up - Set Your Maximum Bid
During Preliminary Bidding simply enter the maximum price you are willing to pay. The system will then bid on your behalf up to your maximum. Your bid will only increase one increment at a time to maintain your position as the high bidder. This allows you to purchase a vehicle below your maximum whenever possible, as long as bidding doesn't meet or exceed your maximum.
If you are outbid during Preliminary Bidding you will receive an email allowing you to increase your maximum before the Live Auction begins. You can always request that one of our agents place a live bid on your behalf. If we bid for you and do not win, you will receive a final bid notification with the results of the sale.
